Patio Repair
Brick patio restoraton is needed whenever you have sinking patios, loose or broken pavers. My Landscape Contractor can fix that for you! We can make your 25-year-old patio look and work like new again for a fraction of the cost of a new one.
These problems can occur for a number of reasons including insufficient base aggregate, inappropriate base compaction, poor drainage, native soil settlement, poor craftsmanship or lack of appropriate maintenance.
A restoration project can be partial or complete. If the area to be restored is more than 45% then most likely it is more cost effective to restore the entire area.
Restoration projects begin by removing the affected area, cleaning and organizing the brick or paver units to prevent losing the pattern and disposing of any damaged units. The base is then reconditioned by adding as much fresh gravel as needed to achieve the appropriate level and re-compact it as needed. A fresh sand leveling bed is installed and the bricks or paver units are installed back to its original pattern. New plastic edge restraint is needed to secure the patio perimeter in place
The entire area is then pressure washed to remove any dirt, mold or stains. Once the surface has dried, polymeric jointing sand is installed and a protective water-based sealer is applied.
Regular maintenance is advised every 2 to 3 years.
